Bacterial cellulose-derived carbon nanofibers are used to successfully assist the uniform growth of few-layered MoSe₂ nanosheets, which is beneficial to synergistically achieve structural and electronic modulations for MoSe₂-based hydrogen evolution reaction catalysts.
