Welcome to our Micro-Nano Structured & Functional Polymer Composites Laboratory led by Prof. Chao Zhang. Our group is affiliated to the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers & Polymer Materials, College of Materials Science and Engineering, Donghua University, China. Donghua University is one of the National Key Universities directly under the Ministry of Education (MoE) of China and enlisted in China's Project 211 and “Double First-Class University Plan”. State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers & Polymer Materials is the first State Key Laboratory in the field of fiber and textile materials in China.

The main research directions of our group include ordered porous polymer composites, polymer nanofibers and their composites, electrochemical energy-storage composites and devices, etc. The research group has 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 1 external part-time supervisor, 11 doctoral students and 38 master students. In the past five years, we have undertaken more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial projects (the National Natural Science Foundation of China of Excellent Youth Projects, General Projects and Youth Projects, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the Shanghai Sailing Program, etc.) and several enterprise cooperation projects, with a cumulative fund of more than 15 million yuan. In the past five years, we have authored more than 150 SCI papers in Nat. Commun., Adv. Funct. Mater., etc. The members of the research group have established long-term cooperative relations with many overseas research teams at the University College London, the Nanyang Technological University, the Queensland University of Technology, etc.
